Construction of a new TwistBlock factory in Ahero, rual Kenya. There, the TwistBlocks for the Construction of a new Campus are being produced by local labour.
The project is in cooperation with the Austrian NGO “Förderverein Fishnet”, the Kenyan NGO “Go Fishnet” and “Habitat for Humanity” as co-sponsor and advisor.
Start Somewheres part in the project involved the planning and implementation of the factory as well as the training of the production team.
Currently, an employee of Start Somewhere Kenya accompanies the start of production on site.
Habitat for Humanity aims to adapt the idea of the TwistBlock factory as a franchise model and scale it up.
